Kahit sumemplang sa SEA Games: Alan Cayetano’s trust, approval ratings up- Pulse Asia
House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano’s trust and approval ratings increased despite criticisms he faced over the country’s hosting of the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, according to the latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia.
Survey results showed Cayetano’s approval rating went up by 16 percent from September in 80 percent in December. His trust rating, meanwhile, surged by 14 percent to 76 percent this month.
The increase in Cayetano’s ratings was the highest among the four officials included in the survey, namely: President Rodrigo Duterte, Vice President Leni Robredo and Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Pulse Asia conducted the survey from December 3 to 8 with 1,200 respondents nationwide.
Cayetano drew flak over the controversies which surrounded the 2019 SEA Games as chairman of the Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc).
Among the issues which marred the athletic meet were problems with accommodation experienced by delegates, and Phisgoc’s decision to spend P50 million for a cauldron at New Clark City, Tarlac.
