Kasosyo sa PDAF! Mocha’s party-list implicated in pork scam
By JOHN CARLO M. CAHINHINAN
AA-Kasosyo party-list group which nominated former Communications Assistant Sec. Mocha Uson as its primary nominee in the House of Representatives in the 2019 elections has been previously implicated in the multi-billion pork barrel scam.
Based on the data posted by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) in 2013, AA-Kasosyo party-list group which was then under former Rep. Solaiman Pangandaman has channeled allotment close P15 million from his Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF) or Pork Barrel funds to Kaupdanan para sa Mangunguma Foundation Inc. (KMFI).
KMFI is one of the 20 bogus non-government organizations (NGOs) staged by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged pork scam mastermind according to the affidavit submitted by whistle blower Benhur Luy.
Pangandaman is the brother of former Agrarian Reform Secretary Nasser Pangandaman who replaced him as the partylist’s nominee through term sharing in July 2011.
Uson on Monday formally entered the country’s political limelight after filing her certificate of candidacy as the first nominee of the AA-Kasosyo party-list group.
Uson arrived at the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila around 11:50 a.m. where she was accompanied by top officials of the party-list group.
