Kerwin handed over to NBI

Self-confessed drug lord Rolando “Kerwin” Espinosa Jr. has been placed under the custody of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday (December 14) night.

“Kerwin Espinosa was officially turned over to the NBI last night, 11:30 to be exact,” disclosed Department of Justice Raymund Macate who has supervision over the NBI.

Espinosa was handed over by the Philippine National Police – Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (AIDG), which had him in custody since he arrived from Abu Dhabi.

The transfer took place after Baybay City, Leyte Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Judge Carlos Arguelles granted the change in custody that he sought.

Espinos is facing weapons and drug charges before the court.
