Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was tested for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) after feeling “unwell” following a trip to Spain, his sister said Thursday (March 26).
Senator Imee Marcos gave details about Bongbong’s condition amid rumors that he was rushed to the hospital for difficulty in breathing, which was allegedly a manifestation of COVID-19.
Imee told ABS-CBN News’ Sherrie Ann Torres that Bongbong had himself tested for COVID-19 two nights ago.
“He came back from Spain unwell. Finally got a test two nights ago, getting better at home. Wala pang result,” the senator said.
Imee was also tested for COVID-19 after being exposed to a resource person who contracted the virus at a Senate hearing earlier this month. She has yet to disclose the test results.
