Kumita kay Cayetano! Phisgoc ties up with Villars’ Starmall for SEA Games bowling events
The mall owned by the family of Senator Cynthia Villar is set to cash in on the upcoming 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
SEA Games organizers recently announced Starmall EDSA-Shaw as the venue of bowling events for the biennial athletic meeting.
Several netizens were in disbelief over the decision of the Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) chaired by House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano to pick Starmall.
“taray, 6 billion ang budget para sa event na to pero yung bowling sa Starmall gaganapin hahaha swerte ng mga taga-Ramon Magsaysay high school cubao branch na makakanood,” said Twitter user @scorsaguin.
Netizen @haciendera said athletes could eat at the restaurant inside the mall after the competition.
“Tapos sa Padi’s ang celebration. Nakakaloka,” she said.
Twitter user @Stewart___O, said: “Bowling sa Starmall EDSA? International event ba ito or company sports fest? Juskolord. Jusko.”
Some netizens said the Villars were big winners in the deal.
“Hahaha Starmall EDSA yung bowling. Nabigyan na naman po ng pondo ang pamilya V…,” said Twitter user @alonrejano.
Netizen @MisterHRG said: “At ang fishy lang lalo nang Starmall is owned by the Villars.”
