Kung sa tingin mo ilegal! Panelo to Lacson: File raps vs Arroyo

Malacanang on Thursday urged Senator Panfilo Lacson to file charges before the courts if he believes the changes introduced by the House of Representatives to the budget bill violated the Constitution.
“Ang hindi ko naman maintindihan sa kanila. If there is something wrong with the procedures, why don’t they go to the courts para magkaalamanan na,” spokersperson Salvador Panelo said in a media briefing.
Lacson earlier said House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo may be charged with falsification for signing the Lower House’s version of the proposed 2019 national budget.
Any amendments made after a bill has been ratified is equal to falsification of public records, the former Philippine National Police chief explained.
Panelo maintained that the lawmaker may file the appropriate charges against Arroyo for allegedly violating the law.
“Eh kung sinasabi mong unconstitutional, di ba? It behooves them to file the appropriate charges against whomsoever has committed any violation of any law,” he added.
