The son of singer Claire Dela Fuente and 10 other men who were with Philippine Airlines (PAL) Express flight attendant Christine Dacera before she died will be charged with conspiracy, according to a state investigator with knowledge of the case.
The investigator told Politiko that Gregorio Angelo “Jigo” de Guzman will be charged in connection with Dacera’s death unless he comes forward as a state witness.
“The men who were with the victim were part of a conspiracy, regardless of their gender preference. They’re conspirators, especially if they did not do anything to stop a crime,” Politiko’s source said.
The investigator said the police and National Bureau of Investigation have widened the scope of their inquiry into Dacera’s death last week to determine if illegal drugs were involved.
Dacera was found dead in a bathtub at City Gardel Hotel in Makati on January 1 after a night of partying with De Guzman and 10 others, all of whom were reportedly gay men.
Autopsy by the police showed Dacera died of a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
Politiko’s source said investigators will check the hotel’s surveillance footage to study the movements of Dacera and her companions.
