Kuwentong kutsero? Eric Yap can’t say who’s behind alleged P200-M bribe try for ABS-CBN
ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Eric Yap on Thursday (July 9) suddenly clammed up on his allegation that a supposed emissary from ABS-CBN offered him P200 million in exchange for voting in favor of the network’s franchise application.
Yap, a close friend of presidential son and Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, denied ABS-CBN was behind the supposed offer. He, however, said he didn’t verify where the supposed phone call to him came from.
The lawmaker, a member of the House legislative franchises committee, said the call he received may be no different from text scams.
Yap had filed with Duterte a resolution last May seeking a congressional probe on ABS-CBN’s alleged violations of its franchise.
