Lacierda tells Duterte to read Senate, Ombudsman reports before bashing Roxas: Mamasapano was concealed from him
President Duterte might want to read the reports released by the Senate and the Office of the Ombudsman on the Mamasapano clash to get to the bottom of the incident.
Former Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda gave the advice to Duterte so he will find out that former Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas knew nothing about the Mamasapano operation.
Duterte earlier blamed Roxas, a senatorial candidate of Otso Diretso, for the deaths of the 44 Special Action Force troopers during the bungled Mamasapano raid.
“Duterte: What was Mar’s role in Mamasapano? Why did 44 people die? Answer: Mamasapano was concealed from him by Napeñas on orders of PNP Chief Purisima,” Lacierda tweeted.
“Advice to Digong: Read the Senate Investigation. Read the Ombudsman report. Just read, stop yapping. Read before you bash!” he said.
He said Duterte was trying to bring down Roxas “because he is not one of your own.”
“But the truth is you know him personally as an honest public official as you have publicly said before. “Limpio sya” (he is clean) you said but now you seek to destroy him because he is not one of your own,” he said.
He argued that Duterte was no match for Roxas and other Otso Diretso senatorial candidates.
“You could not even hold a candle to Mar in matters of the economy, you couldn’t hold a gun to @GaryAlejano on matters of the West Philippine Sea or China or Chel on the law; and in place of these people, you promote the candidacies of Fake Imee, Funny Bato & other
funky finks,” he tweeted.
