Less is more! Teddyboy Locsin defends cheap looking welcome sign for 30th SEA Games
Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro “Teddyboy” Locsin has defended the cheap looking welcome sign for foreign athletes at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport amid criticism from netizens.
“Less is more,” Locsin tweeted Saturday (November 2) in response to a netizen who called his attention to the printout sign, which read: “WELCOME SEA GAMES ATHLETES.”
The printout sign, which was placed inside a clear plastic frame, was intended to welcome athletes who will fly to the Philippines for the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
Some netizens derided how cheap the sign looked considering the billions of pesos for the sporting event, which will start on November 30.
The Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) chaired by House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano helped in the preparations for the 30th SEA Games.
