Malacanang on Tuesday appealed to Filipino commuters for understanding as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) implements measures to ease traffic congestion along EDSA.

Let’s give them a chance. Pinapakinggan ko sila kanina sa Senate hearing eh, marami silang plano eh,” said Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo.

The MMDA’s provincial bus ban and yellow lane policy drew public criticism as they brought further inconvenience to the riding public.

Panelo also asked everyone to spare the agency from criticism because they have been working on the problem.

“Let MMDA do its job. Hintayin muna natin – be patient. Lahat tayo naman ay apektado eh,” he added.
