LIST: 24 laws Duterte signed in third year in office

President Rodrigo Duterte signed a total of 24 laws from June 2018 to July 2019, according to the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO).
These laws include Republic Act No. (RA) 11054 or the Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, RA 11055 or the Philippine Identification System Act, RA 11201 or the 105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave Law, RA 11223 or the Universal Health Care Act, RA 11203 or the Rice Import and Export Liberalization Law, and RA 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act.
RA 11054 creates the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region that replaces the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao in bid to bring peace and development in the region.
RA 11055 establishes the national ID system in order to stop the bureaucratic red tape that has been hampering the delivery of public services.
RA 11201 increases the days of paid maternity leave from 60 days to 105 days to all working new mothers both in the public and private sector.
RA 11223 guarantees equal access to quality and affordable health services for all Filipinos, as well as expands the coverage of Philippine Health Insurance Corporation to include free consultation fees, laboratory tests and other diagnostic services.
RA 11313 prohibits gender-based sexual harassment like catcalling, wold-whistling, taunting, misogynistic and sexist slurs, and sexual jokes in public and online spaces.
RA 11203 allows unimpeded flow of the staple to the market by removing quantitative restrictions on rice imports.
Other important measures signed into law are RA 11106 (Filipino Sign Language Act), RA 11148 (Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Mag-Nanay Act), RA 11201 (Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Act), RA 11202 (Mobile Number Portability Act), RA 11211 (New Central Bank Act), RA 11213 (Tax Amnesty Act), RA 11215 (National Integrated Cancer Control Act), RA 11227 (Handbook for OFWs Act), and RA 112288 (Mandatory PhilHealth coverage for all persons with disability).
RA 11230 (Tulong-Trabaho Act), RA 11232 (Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines), RA 11239 (Road Board Abolition), RA 11260 (General Appropriations Act), RA 11285 (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act), RA 11291 (Magna Carta of the Poor), RA 11293 (Philippine Innovation Act), RA 11312 (Magna Carta for Scientists, Engineers, Researchers and other Science and Technology Personnel in the Government), and RA 11314 (Student Fare Discount Act) were also signed into law.
