Locsin prefers Marcos, not ‘Yellows’, to lead election reforms: Let her investigate Comelec!

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin believes the daughter of the late President Ferdinand Marcos, who engineered the country’s biggest poll cheating which led to his ouster, is the right person to initiate election reforms in the country.

“We need Imee Marcos in charge of election reform. She has a personal stake in clean elections because her brother ‘lost’—or there’ll be massive cheating again like in 2013 if we left it to the Yellows,” said Locsin on Twitter.

“The PNoy administration stole the 2013 elections. We really need Imee
Marcos to investigate the Comelec (Commission on Elections) to ensure
clean elections,” Locsin added.

Marcos is currently chair of the Senate committee on electoral reforms and people’s participation. Her brother, former senator Bongbong Marcos, has a pending poll protest against Vice President Leni Robredo.

Their father was ousted in the 1986 People Power Revolution which was triggered by a walkout of Comelec tabulators protesting the manipulation of the results of February 7 snap polls.
