LOOK: Digong Dilaw? Robredo picks book on yellow-loving kid for storytelling session
Vice President Leni Robredo sure has an interesting taste when it comes to reading.
Robredo chose the book “Digong Dilaw” for her storytelling session with students of Manuel Garza Elementary School in Calabanga, Camarines Sur Saturday (May 27).
Photos released by the Office of the Vice President showed her animatedly reading excerpts from the book as the children raptly paid attention.
According to the book’s publisher, Adarna House, “Digong Dilaw” is a story of a boy who only likes the color yellow.
“What happens when a little boy who only likes yellow things wakes up with the power to turn everything yellow? Will he be happy with a monochromatic world?” read the book’s teaser on Adarna House’s website.
The children’s book is written by National Artist for Literature Virgilio S. Almario.
Robredo held a storytelling session with the students as part of activities for the inauguration of the school’s mini library. The new reading facility was donated by Chef Sharwin Tee, Acts of Hope for the Nation (AHON) Foundation, Kaya Natin Movement and in partnership with Angat Buhay.
