LOOK: Duterte arrives in Japan for enthronement of Emperor Naruhito

President Rodrigo Duterte has arrived in Japan Tuesday to witness the enthronement of Emperor Naruhito.
Duterte left his hometown Davao City at 6:30 p.m. Monday and arrived Tokyo at 12:54 a.m. Tuesday.
The President brought with him a “lean” delegation to attend the enthronement ceremony.
They are Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, Senator Christopher Go, Philippine Ambassador to Japan Jose Laurel V, Special Envoy to Japan Feliciano Belmonte Jr., and Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs Robert Borje.
The guest list for Naruhito’s enthronement includes Britain’s Prince Charles, U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan, South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Myanmar leader, Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, and Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan among others.
In Japan, Duterte is also scheduled to attend two banquets hosted by Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
