The spouses of the country’s top government leaders have linked forces to promote the local weaving industry in the country.

Honeylet Avanceña, longtime partner of President Duterte, invited spouses of Cabinet members, senators, and congressmen to Malacañang on the promotion of the local textile sector. The President’s lady love has launched “Modernong Obra, Disenyong Atin” during the closed-door Palace affair.

Among those present were politiko wives Helen Gamboa, Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla, Audrey Zubiri, Tootsy Angara, and Justice Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay-Villar

Ciara Sotto, daughter of Senate President Tito Sotto, thanked the “First Lady” for the Palace invite and promised to support her latest textile advocacy. She commented that Honeylet’s program was “inspiring.”
