Where have all the LP politikos gone? Leila explains why party mates are low-profile amid her dilemma

If you’re wondering why Senator Leila de Lima’s Liberal Party (LP) pals haven’t been openly defending her from all the New Bilibid Prison (NBP)-related drug allegations, the lady politiko herself has an answer for you.

De Lima, in an interview with Mike Enriquez Friday (September 23), said that the other LP members in the Senate simply don’t want to fan any more speculations about “Plan B”.

Plan B refers to the LP’s supposed scheme of regaining the presidency following the loss of their standard-bearer , Mar Roxas, in the May polls.

This entails installing Vice President Leni Robredo–an LP stalwart and the constitutional successor of President Rodrigo Duterte–in Malacañang.

It should be noted that the LP members in the Senate are part of the Majority, meaning they support Duterte’s party, the PDP-Laban.

At any rate, De Lima said that she very much feels the support and sympathy of her LP mates despite their relative silence.
