Lumabas rin ang totoo! Robredo welcomes release of PET resolution on ballot recount
Vice President Leni Robredo has welcomed the release of the report on initial recount of the votes for vice president, which showed her lead over former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. growing by over 15,000.
“This proves who was telling the truth and who was lying🙏🏻,” Robredo said in a tweet Friday (October 18) after the Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), released the report on the initial recount of ballots in Camarines Sur, Negros Oriental and Iloilo.
The three were the pilot provinces identified by Marcos for the initial recount.
In its resolution, PET said Robredo’s lead increased from 263,473 to 278,566 after the recount of ballots.
The tribunal has asked the camps of Robredo and Marcos to file their comments on the results, as well as the former senator’s third cause of action, which involves the annulment of votes for vice president the provinces of Lanao Del Sur, Basilan, and Maguindanao.
