Why would she force her hand if she was this unwelcome?
Vice President Leni Robredo announced on Sunday that she is resigning as Housing secretary to remove herself from the Presidential Cabinet. This was after she received a text message from Cabinet secretary Jun Evasco relaying an order for her to “desist” attending regular Cabinet meetings starting Dec. 5.
Ifugao Rep. Teddy Baguilat, Jr. could not help but support her all the way, saying that it was all because the Executive is laying the groundwork to welcome her opponent former Senator Bongbong Marcos.
VP LENI is resigning from the Cabinet. Plot to install BBM as VP to solidly an authoritarian rule primary reason. Im begins u madam VP!

Baguilat even compared her to former Vice President Jejomar Binay, who waited until the last moment to resign from the Aquino Cabinet only to criticize its misdeeds after five years of serving the post.
She is no longer welcome to attend cabinet meetings so she might as well resign. Better this early, show her colors, than do a Binay.
