The long arm of the law is bound to catch the credit card fraud syndicate.
Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after he lost P1 million in fraudulent purchases charged in his credit card.
In a Facebook post, the senator voiced confidence that culprits of the credit card hacking will be tracked down and held accountable. He dropped by the NBI office to file an incident report Thursday.
The hacker reportedly ordered P1 million worth of food from Food Panda delivery service. Four irregular card transactions were recorded in just an hour.
He said the hackers may take pride of stealing his credit card but will soon be behind bars. He said the country’s NBI agents have a good track record in combating cybercrime.
