Magbaon ng pasensya: Herrera urges airlines to help passengers affected by Taal eruption
By JOHN CARLO M. CAHINHINAN
House Deputy Majority Floor Leader Bernadette Herrera urged all airline companies operating in all terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to abide by the current regulations on air passengers’ rights as several flights were cancelled due to the phreatic explosion of Taal Volcano.
Herrera, party-list representative of Bagong Henerasyon, made the remarks after the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) earlier partially shutdown all terminals of NAIA due to the ash fall brought by the ongoing activities of Taal.
“There will be flight cancellations and delays. All travelers now at NAIA and at other airports must be promptly attended to with the utmost courtesy,” said Herrera.
She said while travelers going to NAIA from various airports nationwide should expect delays, ground crews of the airlines “must courteously and properly attend to them all.”
“Sa mga pasahero, magbaon po ng maraming pasensya. Biglaan po ang eruption ng Taal Volcano at apektado po ang buong bansa dahil konektado halos lahat ng flights sa NAIA,” said Herrera.
