Vice President Leni Robredo has accepted Senator Panfilo Lacson’s offer to share with her his experience in fighting illegal drugs to help in her new job as anti-drug czar.
Lacson confirmed Thursday (November 7) that he will be meeting with Robredo soon to discuss how to fight the illegal drugs menace.
“We are fixing our schedule to sit down. I am grateful and humbled by her gesture. More than that, it shows her sincerity and seriousness in tackling her new task,” he said in a text message.
Lacson, a former chief of the Philippine National Police, offered to give Robredo pointers on fighting illegal drugs after she accepted her designation as co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
“I am ready and willing to humbly share whatever modest law enforcement experience I gained in my previous life,” he said.
Robredo has said she needs to study further how she can help in the law enforcement aspect of fighting illegal drugs.
