Confirmed asymptomatic and mild coronavirus (Covid-19) cases are now required to undergo facility-based quarantine, the government’s inter-agency task force (IATF) said.
In its September 24 directive, the IATF said all mild and asymptomatic Covid-19 patients in the country must submit themselves to isolation facilities.
There are, however, a few exceptions.
The new policy does not apply to patients considered vulnerable or having comorbidities and whose homes meet the conditions for home isolation under the Joint Administrative Order 2020-0001 issued by the Department of Health and the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
Another exception would be when the Ligtas Covid-19 Centers within the region are fully occupied and the local government unit does not have sufficient isolation facilities, Resolution No. 74 read.
