Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG) chairman Chel Diokno warned that having policemen go house to house to hunt down COVID-19 disease cases will only spread both fear and the virus.
“Those with COVID are not police targets, they are medical patients. Dapat silang tratuhin na may dignidad at pagkalinga,” he added.
Interior Secretary Eduardo Ano on Tuesday (July 14) announced that the government will be implementing Oplan Kalinga and have policemen go house to house with local government representatives in finding COVID-19 cases and taking them to isolation facilities.
