Manny Villar wishes a ‘happy, healthy’ birthday to son Mark: Proud of you, son!
Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar will celebrate his birthday living under quarantine.
Villar recently went into self-isolation at his Las Piñas home after testing positive for the coronavirus. The Cabinet member turns 42 on August 14.
Former Senate President Manny Villar is among the early birthday well-wishers of the Cabinet secretary nursing a coronavirus illness. He said he is proud of his son, commending his accomplishments as the country’s DPWH chief.
“Have a happy and healthy birthday, son. You have been working hard. We’re proud of everything you have accomplished,” the elder Villar said in a Facebook post.
Last July 15, Villar, who was recently named the government’s isolation czar, announced he tested positive for the coronavirus.
Villar is the third Cabinet official to get infected, following Education Secretary Leonor Briones and Interior Secretary Eduardo Año. He has been assigned to oversee the establishment of more quarantine and isolation facilities to stem the coronavirus outbreak.
