Sa mansion pa ni Migz! Senate majority to meet over Koko exit, Tito takeover

The Senate majority bloc is set to meet Wednesday night to discuss Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III’s takeover of the Senate presidency from Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, Politiko has learned.

The meeting will take place at Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri’s house in Makati City.

For months, reports have been circulating that Sotto will replace Pimentel as Senate President.

On Tuesday (May 8), Senator Cynthia Villar confirmed that She and her colleagues have agreed to elect Sotto as the next Senate President. She said Pimentel will be busy in the coming months on his re-election bid.

“It’s not a problem for us senators. It won’t bring trouble,” Villar said at the sidelines of an event in Nueva Ecija.
