Marcoses return to Malacañang for Imee’s oath-taking
The Marcoses are back in the Palace!
Former First Lady Imelda Marcos and her family made a sentimental visit to Malacañang to attend the oath-taking of Senator-elect Imee Marcos.
The Ilocos Governor took her oath as a new senator of the Republic before President Duterte at the Palace.
Among those present at the event were Imee’s siblings former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Irene Marcos Araneta, and other family members.
The Marcos family later posed for a group photo in front of the late President Ferdinand Marcos’ portrait at the Palace hall. The late strongman served as the country’s president for two decades until he was ousted via the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.
