Some Philippine offshore gaming operators will be allowed to operate in areas under general enhanced community quarantine and enhanced community quarantine, Malacañang confirmed.
In Laging Handa public briefing Friday, Roque said that offshore gaming firms are part of the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector, which is allowed to continue operations during community quarantine.
Earlier, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation Chairman Andrea Domingo announced that 30 percent of the total workforce will be allowed to report despite the coronavirus disease health crisis.
Kinakailangan wala din utang from PAGCOR,” the Palace official said.
The POGO industry mostly employs Chinese nationals because its clients are primarily Chinese.
