President Rodrigo Duterte will decide who should be the next president of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) by Monday, August 31, Senator Bong Go said.
In an interview in Davao City Friday (August 28), Go said Duterte is thinking hard on who should replace resigned Philhealth chief Morales.
Duterte asked Morales to resign earlier this week, citing health reasons. The Philhealth chief’s departure came amid parallel investigations into the alleged corruption within the state health insurer.
Go said it was important that a new Philhealth chief be appointed as soon as possible to ensure continuity of its services.
