May tinago? Andaya faces raps over misdeclaration of assets in SALNs
House Majority Floor Leader and Camarines Sur Representative Rolando Andaya Jr. faces a criminal complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman concerning the misdeclaration of his statements of assets, liabilities and networth (SALN).
Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) commissioner Greco Belgica filed the complaint against Andaya whom he accused of graft, falsification, perjury and violating the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials.
Also named as Belgica’s co-respondent is his wife Marissa Lourdes.
Apart from this, Belgica also administratively charged Andaya of serious dishonesty and grave misconduct.
“Okay lang naman na mayaman ka, importante na na-justify mo yung pinagkunan mo ng pera,” Belgica said.
Under the complaint, Andaya allegedly did not declare nine real properties, their business interests in Noy and Ning’s Corporation, and his ownership of P4.96 million worth of firearms.
Belgica added Andaya’s declared cash asset of P5 million seemed to be inconsistent with the numerous foreign travels he and his family made from 2015 to 2017.
