Monetize! Revilla earns $10,000 from social media, will give free tablets to students
The social media use of Senator Bong Revilla is paying off.
Revilla has revealed that he has monetized his Facebook page and earned so far around $10,000.
The actor-turned-politiko plans to share his blessings and give away 10-inch tablets to students starting September 20. The tablet giveaway will be part of his 54th birthday celebration on September 25.
“‘Yung mga kikitain sa YouTube, kikitain dito, Facebook, lahat yan ay itutulong natin. Simula noong tayo ay nagkaroon ako ng Facebook, in fact, na-monetize na ito. Malaki-laki na rin kinikita natin at iyun po ay idadagdag natin sa mga ipapa-raffle natin,” Revilla said in a Facebook video on September 8.
“Malaki na rin ‘yun. I think more than $10,000 so malaking bagay po ‘yun,” the senator added.
Revilla said an initial 1,000 students will be given tablets to help with their online schooling. Other gifts will also be given away during his birthday celebration.
Mechanics for the birthday giveaway are still being finalized, Revilla said.
Revilla, who recently recovered from the coronavirus illness, also thanked the people who continue to support him and his family.
To his bashers, Revilla said he has forgiven them. He said he understands the hurling hate and criticisms against him is part of the job of bashers.
But he warned his haters, especially those who wished him dead after a coronavirus scare, about karma. “Sana isipin ninyo rin na may karma. Baka balikan kayo ng karma,” he said.
