House Deputy Speaker Mujiv Hataman and his wife, Isabela City mayor Sitti Djalia “Dadah” Hataman have recovered from the coronavirus illness.

In a Facebook post, the Basilan congressman said they have been released from quarantine while expressing thanks to the health frontliners for their assistance.

He said his children and other members of the household staff have tested negative for the disease.

In the same post, Hataman called for an end to discrimination against people with the coronavirus. He said people should instead show compassion for others in this time of crisis.

“We also denounce the unfair treatment or discrimination some people are giving those who are unfortunate enough to contract this disease.

Despite raising his concerns about the stigma, Hataman encouraged patients to come forward and make themselves known.
