Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta on Friday (Nov. 22) revealed her forensics team has autopsied a total of 149 Dengvaxia victims.
Acosta said the latest victim, Shekina Venice Arciaga, 13, was autopsied last Thursday (Nov. 21) following her death due to severe dengue last October 28
“She is the 149th victim autopsied by the PAO,” Acosta said.
The PAO chief assured that she will continue to file cases before on behalf of the families of the Dengvaxia victims.
So far, the PAO has filed a total of 55 complaints before the Department of Justice (DOJ) concerning the liability of Iloilo Rep. Janette Garin, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III for the mass vaccination of the anti-dengue vaccine.
