Nadala na! Duterte won’t appoint Robredo again- Bong Go
Vice President Leni Robredo should not expect to be appointed to another government post again until her term ends in 2022.
Senator Bong Go on Sunday (December 1) said President Rodrigo Duterte has no more plans of appointing Robredo again after firing her as co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
Go said Duterte has completely lost trust in Robredo– and the feeling is likely mutual.
“Most likely po sa ngayon siyempre wala na silang tiwala sa isa’t isa,” he said in an interview over dzBB radio.
“Lahat ng gagawin ng admin ay mali so paano mo bibigyan ng tiwala kung ang isang tao na bumabatikos sa lahat ng ginagawa? So hindi na po [siya] bibigyan ng posisyon in the next two years,” Go added.
Malacañang said Duterte fired Robredo as drug czar barely three weeks after her appointment because the President took offense at her remark that he should let her know he no longer wants her in ICAD.
Duterte subsequently slammed Robredo for supposedly talking to foreign entities about the drug war instead of working with relevant government agencies to address the problem.
