Nakakahimatay! You wouldn’t guess how much Kris Aquino needs to pay in income tax for 2018
Kris Aquino may be on track to being one of the country’s top individual taxpayers again.
In a Facebook video uploaded last February, Kris teased about the amount of income tax she needs to pay for 2018.
She said she had remitted more than P20 million so far but her total income tax assessment was higher.
“More than P20 million na ‘yung na-remit pero may idadagdag pang additional hindi ko na sasabihin kasi nakakahimatay,” Kris said in the video titled, “Unscripted with Kris: Birthday Conversations Part 1.”
The actress said her staff came close to fainting when they found out how much more she needed to pay to the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Kris said she had until October this year to pay her income taxes for 2018, in accordance with the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.
The BIR named Kris as the top individual taxpayer in the country in 2011, paying P49.89 million in income tax.
