Former Quezon Rep. Erin Tañada is dismayed by the bullying tactics of some members of the House of Representatives.

Tañada said some lawmakers have turned to bullying in the guise of searching for truth during the House hearing on the franchise renewal bid of ABS-CBN network.

The media giant went off the air in compliance with the cease and desist order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission. The 25-year franchise of the Lopez-owned company lapsed last May.

“Having been part of the House of Reps from 04-2013, I am disheartened by my former colleagues who act as bullies in the guise of ‘searching for the truth. And, when faced with facts and truth, do not accept them,” Tañada tweeted.

Tañada also voiced support for the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN as some administration lawmakers grilled network bosses over several issues, from the citizenship of Gabby Lopez to the alleged labor and tax violations of the network.

“ABS HAS NOT VIOLATED ANY LAW. Vote #yestoABSCBNFranchiseRenewal,” the former lawmaker said.
