With nearly 97 percent of the election returns transmitted, Senator Nancy Binay is apparently wondering if she can keep her 12th ranking in the partial vote count or can still be overtaken by her nearest rival.
Binay, in a Facebook post, has sought the help of the UP Statistical Society, UP Mathematics Club and UP School of Statistics to check if the poll results can still be changed with 3 percent of the precincts left to count.
Binay ranked 12th place with more than 14.3 million votes based on partial and unofficial ballot count, followed closely by reelectionist Senator JV Ejercito with around 14 million votes.
“Friends, patulong. It’s been three days at baka napudpod na yung Math ko: With more or less 3% of precincts left to count, is it still possible to significantly influence the results? #HalalanResults #Halalan2019
