Night owl but workaholic: Duterte wants hard work to be his legacy
President Rodrigo Duterte may keep unconventional working hours, but he wants to be known as a hard working Chief Executive who strove to made Filipinos lives better.
Duterte shared what he would like to leave as his legacy in an interview with Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy in Davao City Saturday (June 8).
“Hard work. Just like any government worker that during my time, I taught a lot of hard work so that the others will follow. No great claims,” he said.
Duterte said he doesn’t care about awards, noting that he already received countless recognition throughout his three-decade long stint as a politiko.
“Ang akin is trabaho lang. Maski anong gawa mo memorabilia, ganun, a hero.. When you are gone, you are gone,” he said.
Duterte said his day usually starts at 12 noon and ends late at night as he has several documents to pore over.
The President said he sleeps between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.
