Leyte Representative-elect Ferdinand Martin Romualdez scored more “pogi points” for his Speakership bid a day after his meeting President Rodrigo Duterte in Catabalogan City, Samar last Wednesday.

Romualdez had a personal meeting with the President’s eldest daughter, Hugpong ng Pagbabago chairperson and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte at the latter’s hometown.

Politiko obtained photos in which the President’s daughter shared a light moment with the returning Leyte solon.

No further details of the said private talk which was also attended by Davao City-based businessman Sammy Uy inside a bakeshop in Lanang district.

The said meeting came less than 24-hours after the joint visit of Romualdez and the chief executive inside the Philippine Army’s 8th Infantry Division located at Camp Gen. Vicente Lukban in Catbalogan City, Samar.

Politiko earlier learned that Duterte was choosing between two of the five aspirants for the House leadership, namely Romualdez and reelected Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco.

Duterte made known his final 2 bets for Speaker during the dinner co-hosted by Velasco and and his eldest son, incoming Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte for neophyte solons.
