Popular actress Angel Locsin portrayed the iconic hero “Darna” on television but appears to be even more amazing in real life.
Angel was among the volunteers who tried to boost the morale of Marawi evacuees taking refuge in Iligan City, Lanao del Sur.
Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo thanked Angel for visiting the families displayed by the Marawi conflict, saying she hopes the youth will emulate her kindness.
“None of us can be like Darna and fly to rescue people. But we can be like Ms. Angel Locsin and care those who in need like the Marawi evacuees,” Taguiwalo tweeted.
“We hope more Filipino youth emulate women like Ms Angel Lcsin who speaks and stands for others,” she said.
