No more jus-tiis! Peralta to inaugurate judiciary help desk
Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta is set to open this Monday (Dec. 9) the judiciary’s help desk intended the improve public assistance.
“The setting-up of a help desk is included in Chief Justice Peralta’s Ten-Point Program, which focuses on judicial reforms concerning the core areas of efficiency, integrity, security, and service within the Philippine Judiciary,” the Supreme Court (SC) said in a statement.
Peralta himself will be launching the help desk called the Judiciary Public Assistance Section (JPAS) at the SC Centennial Building.
The JPAS is under the direct supervision and control of his office and is composed of three units–the helpdesk unit, the hotline unit, and the email messaging unit.
“Its duties and functions, among others, are to manage effectively, efficient and innovative all public assistance concerns of the general public; be the official line of communication between the Judiciary, its stakeholders and the general public; manage the day-to-day operations of the various designated units of the JPAS; provide assistance and information, as well as address queries, from various Judiciary stakeholders and the general public; and to receive letters, communications, inquiries and alike from various stakeholders and the general public,” the SC explained about the JPAS.
