The bag of missing University of the Philippines (UP) law professor Ryan Oliva was found Friday along the shores of a community in Looc, Occidental Mindoro, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said.
Agent Eugene Javier of the NBI- Special Unit Division said Oliva’s family confirmed the bag and its contents belonged to him.
Some of the items found inside the bag were Oliva’s identification cards, cellphone, ATM cards and other personal effects, according to a report by the local police.
Authorities, however, said there was no sign of Oliva in the area where his bag was found.
Javier said “all hands are on deck” in searching for Oliva, who was reported missing by his family on Nov. 24.
The NBI said they are tracking the journey of Oliva from the time he was last seen on Nov. 22.
