Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno has maintained that he and Mayor Joseph Estrada have yet to sit and discuss their political plans thoroughly even though the next national elections are just a little over a year away.
In an interview over dzMM, Moreno said he and “Pangulong Mayor” Estrada are focused on solving the problems besetting Manila at the moment.
“As partners, wala pang pinag-uusapan masyado sa pulitika… For the meantime focus pa muna tayo sa trabaho,” he said.
Estrada has become vocal in recent weeks about his plan to seek reelection as mayor so he can continue his projects for Manila. He said he will support Moreno if ever the latter decides to run for higher office.
After winning the 2013 midterm elections, the former President said he only intended to serve a single term as mayor and will turn over the reins to his anointed successor, Moreno.
The vice mayor, for his part, remained coy about his political plans, saying he will have to consult his family first on the matter.
“Sa karera ko naman hindi ko masyadong iniintindi ngayon,” he said.
