President Rodrigo Duterte won’t be on a break over the holidays, according to his spokesman.

“Si Presidente naman, nakikita ko naman, walang pahinga. Masyado ngang workaholic itong mama. Sabi nga niya magbabakasyon, wala naman eh,” said Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo referring to Duterte’s cancelled three-day leave last month.

“Talagang napaka-devoted sa kanyang trabaho bilang Presidente,” Panelo told dzIQ on Sunday.

Duterte, 74, was the oldest person to be elected president of the Philippines. His health has been a recurring issue in his presidency.

In a recent interview, the President, who previously admitted to suffering from Barrett’s esophagus, Buerger’s disease, myasthenia gravis, muscle spasms, and migraines, said it was only normal for his age to develop ailments.
