Nograles on Cabinet invite for Robredo: No drug agenda yet

Vice President Leni Robredo may not be allowed to attend Cabinet meetings in Malacañang anytime soon.
This, after Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said the campaign against illegal drugs is still not included in the agenda.
“So far, wala pa sa agenda,” Nograles told reporters Monday.
“Yung Cabinet meetings kasi, merong ano yun eh, may memorandum yung Executive Secretary regarding yung attendance to and participation in regular Cabinet meetings… So kung hindi naman involved yung agency, yung regular attendees lamang ang automatically expected to attend our Cabinet meetings,” he added.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo earlier said there is no need for Robredo to attend Cabinet meetings if the war on drugs is not on the agenda.
“Kung hindi ka naman kasama doon sa agenda mas masaya siguro kung hindi ka na a-attend,” Panelo added.
Robredo’s position as co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs carries a Cabinet rank.
