There were illegal drugs at the hotel room where flight attendant Christine Dacera stayed with her male friends on the night she died, the National Bureau of Investigation has found.

A source familiar with the NBI’s investigation said a witness claimed to have been offered illegal drugs by one of Dacera’s friends inside Room 2209 at City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati where they partied on December 31, 2020. The witness supposedly declined.

Politiko’s source said NBI agents also found traces of illegal drugs in the residue of vomit found inside the hotel room.

“We cannot establish right now whose vomit it was, but it contains residue of illegal substance,” the source said.

Dacera, 23, was found unconscious in the hotel room’s bathtub on January 1. Results of the Philippine National Police’s autopsy showed she died of ruptured aortic aneurysm.

Politiko’s source said the allegation that Dacera was raped could no longer be established because her cadaver was already processed when the NBI’s investigation began.

Nevertheless, the NBI is set to file a case against Dacera’s friends for supposedly waiting for three hours after finding her unconscious to bring her to the hospital.

Separate charges will also be filed against the management of City Garden Grand Hotel and those who ordered her body to be embalmed without the presence and consent of her family.
