NPC stalwart Sotto mourns loss of mentor, beloved friend Danding Cojuangco

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III has expressed his grief over the passing business tycoon and former Ambassador Eduardo “Danding” Conjuancgo Jr.
“I join the nation in mourning the passing of a titan in Philippine business and politics,” Sotto said in a statement.
Sotto is a stalwart of the Nationalist People’s Coalition—the political entity founded by Cojuangco in 1992.
“The passing of our NPC chairman, Eduardo ‘Danding’ Cojuangco Jr., leaves a big hole in our hearts,” he added.
Sotto described Cojuangco as a person who lived “an extraordinary life” and wore many hats as he made waves in the business sector and splashes in public service.
“The vast ocean of entrepreneurship and political leadership will never drift as suavely and smoothly without his engaging presence,” said.
Cojuangco, chairman and CEO of San Miguel Corporation (SMC) passed away, evening of June 16. He was 85.
Sotto stressed that “the legacy and vision of NPC’s big boss will continue with all its members, friends and especially, among his family.”
“The Sotto clan mourns the loss of a mentor and beloved friend. Salamat sa lahat lahat, Boss Danding,” said Sotto.
