Oh my golly-baba!! China’s richest man Jack Ma is coming to DLSU

Jack Ma, the richest man in China, will be at the De La Salle University Wednesday (October 25) to receive an honorary doctorate degree.

Ma, founder and Chief Executive Officer of the e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, will also have a dialogue with students in the morning at the Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium.

The Chinese business tycoon, one of Fortune’s Greatest Leaders of the World for 2017, has an estimated net worth of $46.6 billion.

Ma’s rise to becoming a bilyonaryo is a rags-to-riches story. He grew up poor, failed the entrance exams to universities twice, and was rejected from several jobs, including at KFC.

His fortune took a turn for the better when he founded Alibaba, China’s version of Amazon.
