‘Old man’ Duterte says pretty women make him work ‘harder’: Marriage ain’t a marathon, we just stay in 1 place
President Rodrigo Duterte insists he can freely woo any beautiful women he can lay his eyes on because he’s “technically” single.
What’s more, Duterte says beautiful women inspire him to work “harder.”
In a speech in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Thursday night, Duterte said: “I’m old anyway. Unless there’s a beautiful woman who wants to marry me, then I will work harder. I am — in other countries divorced, but I’m annulled. So I have no wife technically. That’s why my eyes see beautiful women right away.”
Duterte has three children with ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman and a daughter with current partner, Honeylet Avanceña.
“It’s the mayor’s happiness to look at beautiful women,” he added.
At 73 years of age, Duterte thinks he’s strong enough to enter into a relationship.
“I’m still not that very old. A bit weaker, but… What is marriage anyway, a marathon? Are we going to run around? We’re just going to stay in one place there in…,” he said.
During the speech, Duterte flirted with a young woman in the audience and invited her to visit him in Malacanang.
“Before I forget… Have you been to Malacañang, ma’am?Are your parents here? Where’s your father? Ah, patay na? How about your mother? I’m going to call her. Ma… Come here and tell mother to go here. Call her. Do you have a cellphone? Tell her I have a request. Lend her a cellphone, Bong (go). Call our mother,” said Duterte in jest.
