One last time: JBC to hold another interview for vacant CA seats

The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) is set to hold this Monday (Dec. 2) its last set of interviews of candidates vying for eight seats at the Court of Appeals (CA).

Those who will be interviewed this Monday are Acerey Pacheco, Rosanna Fe Romero-Maglaya and Emily San Gaspar-Gito.

The three are among 92 candidates vying to secure eight vacant seats at the SC.

The JBC held already held series of interviews for 64of the candidates this October and November.

While, 25 candidates need not undergo the interviews since their past interviews remain valid.

Among the eight empty seats, four were vacated upon the appointments of Justices Ramon Paul Hernando, Rosmari Carrandang, Henri Jean Paul Inting and Amy Lazaro-Javier to the Supreme Court.

While the rest were vacated by retired CA justices Normandie Pizarro, Carmelita Manahan, Edward Contreras and Sesinando Villon.
